Old Glory Magazine  |  Jun-23
In our 400th issue we look back to how Old Glory started and it’s premier issue in the summer of 1985. Bob Moorman takes a look back at the buoyant rally scene in 1985 and on the 100, 200 and 300 edition years of the magazine, in an article called ‘Significant Memories.’
Paul Richie looks at a unique in the UK Fowler single-cylinder 3-speed road locomotive called Captain Cook. In ‘Railway Roundabout’ Dave Vaughan travels to the Ffestiniog Railway and Boston Lodge where he catches up with all that’s going on in the works. In Market Place we look at what went on at the Cheffins sale in April and look at what’s been sold in America also.
David Reed travels to Beamish for his report on their early season steam festival in April and the editor headed on Good Friday to The Great Central Railway for his report. We also travel to Tasmania for the big steam festival in March.
This month Zack Stiling travels to Brooklands and the London Bus Museum to search out their 1925 Dennis double deck bus, which is now back in its original mauve livery.
There are also sections on Miniatures, News, Vintage World, and A-Z of Steam Manufacturers rounding off this issue of Old Glory magazine.
