Manor Park Classics is expanding its horizons with new staff joining (Trade news, January) and some leaving for Gateway Auctions (Trade news, February). Motorcycle specialist Jimmy Butler has since joined the team, adding another market for the auction house, while car enthusiast and former solicitor Damian Rigby (below left) takes up a role as a classic car specialist. James Gregory and Nik Askins (bottom left, from right) move up within Manor Park Classics to become sales director and operations director respectively, now both on the MPC board. Timed online auctions are also being introduced, designed to offer the cars that don’t sell during live sales and capitalising on the proven popularity of this format.
For the year ahead, MPC plans to more proactively engage its buying and selling market by holding new networking events at its premises in Runcorn, Cheshire. Working with trade partners Fast ‘n’ Funded, Hagerty and Castrol Classic Oils, these are expected to take the form of ‘cars and coffee’-type meetings, although details are yet to be confirmed.
