The alien beings of the First Doctor’s era continue to fascinate, however obscure.
Decades after the telepathic Sensorites’ one and only appearance in 1964, their Sense-Sphere home was mentioned in Planet of the Ood (2008) – implying an ancestral connection to the not-dissimilar Ood, inhabitants of the Ood-Sphere. Character’s Sensorites, which accompanied the First Doctor in a 2021 B&M exclusive set, were distinguished by the colour of their beards and a cross-sash for the Elder. Both figures came with a sonic tool, handy for breaking into any nearby police boxes.
