Since HECK burst onto the vegan scene back in 2015 with its delicious plant-based sausages, the Yorkshire food firm’s range has continued to grow in size and popularity, and now they’ve added two new lines that are giving cooks a head-start in the kitchen this summer – Vegan Mince and Vegan Italia Burgers. On sale from April, the tasty pea-based mince is lightly seasoned with tomato, salt, pepper and a touch of paprika, so it’s ready to use and perfect as the base for a wide range of mid-week recipe favourites, from pasta bakes and spag bol, to chilli and lasagne.
Based on HECK’s popular sausages of the same name, the fava bean-based Vegan Italia Burgers are brilliant for the BBQ and are packed with tomato, basil, garlic and vegan cheese. Simply grill or lightly pan fry and load up in a bun with your favourite toppings and sauces. Both new offerings are soya-free, high protein, high fibre and low fat, and like everything HECK makes, they’re also gluten-free. The two new lines will be available from www.heckfood.co.uk and Tesco stores across the UK, making it even easier to pick up a pack as part of the weekly shop.
