Farewell, Docker; hello, Rancher Desktop
Introducing yet another – better – way to manage your containers.
The whole Docker limitation for business has a real impact on T developers. As an example, I am not allowed to use Docker Desktop, even though I manage and maintain businesscritical image builds. It’s a pain. I have mentioned Podman in the past, but I recently stumbled across Rancher Desktop. At its core, it’s a desktop management system for system management and testing, but it can also be exceedingly useful in the development phase, too. While it’s not exactly the same as Docker, it is certainly well worth checking out.
