Multiple Pi 5 releases in time for 2025
It seems there are Pis flying at us faster than we can dodge them all!
November 2024 saw a flurry of official Raspberry Pi releases, some of which we managed to catch right in the face, like the AI camera and the Pi Pico 2 W, while others just missed our print deadlines, like the Compute Module 5 (we speculated in LXF323 news it was about to launch, and it did two days later) and the Official Pi SSD (dropped from this issue for the Pi 500 review).
In between Les Pounder posting “deals, deals, deals” on Tom’s Hardware over Black November, he also had to stay on top of reviewing all these Pi Foundation launches. Another one that we’re unable to cover this issue is the new Raspberry Pi Monitor, launched at the same time as the new Pi 500 so you can have the complete Pi desktop experience.
