In its ongoing exhibition, the Bohun Gallery includes emerging artists alongside leaders in the British art market such as Elisabeth Frink, John Piper and Mary Fedden.
The Henley-on-Thames gallery’s show, titled Artists of Fame & Promise, runs until September 2, one in a long line of shows by the same name which began in the 1990s. In addition to those established names that will be exhibiting painting and sculpture are the winners of the 2015 and 2016 Sky Landscape Artist of the Year awards, Nerrine Tassie and Richard Allen.
Among the pieces included in the exhibition is Julian Trevelyan’s (1910- 88) Steam Engine, pictured right. Bohun represents the estate of the artist who exhibited with the gallery in his lifetime. The oil on canvas measures 16 x 20in (40.5 x 51cm) and is offered for £12,000 plus 4% ARR.
