The furious row over the closure of the public toilets has intensified after the stark reality of the boarding up and closure of the public amenities across Arran took place last Friday after months of talks.
For many of the public toilets, it was a simple case of shutting the door and locking it behind them.
However, in Lochranza, since there are no doors, the building has been boarded up and access prohibited. The ongoing debate, however, does not appear as though it is going to be quelled by simply shutting the door, as many aggrieved residents, community representatives and visitors are continuing to make their feelings known, either through the letters the Banner has received on the issue to councillors and other politicians and on social media.
