Andy McNamara from the Arran Outdoor Centre is taking an Arran schools team to the British Score orienteering championships in Yorkshire on October 14.
The team will leave Arran on Friday October 13 and will return on Sunday October 15. This event is open to all primary five to secondary six children on the island and there will be 13 places available on the team.
There will be a training afternoon/evening on Friday September 8 at Brodick Country Park and a further training day in Dean Park in Kilmarnock on Friday October 13.
