Our social media-free week

The average person in the UK spends 24 hours online a week, with 40 per cent of us looking at our phones within five minutes of waking up (ofcom.org.uk). Surprised? Judging by the amount social media dominates our daily lives, probably not. We’re so addicted to our digital devices that without them, around a third of people say they feel cut off, while 29 per cent claim to feel lost without internet connection. Would the Be Kind team feel the same way when they took the challenge to step away from the screens, delete their apps and go one week without social media? Here’s what happened.
