IN RESPONSE

I WOULD like to reply to the letter from Chris Strange in last week’s issue ( June 18).

In his letter, Chris stated that some of the language that Anthony Joshua used during the Black Lives Matter protest march in Watford was “nothing short of segregationist.” Chris also stated that, “No matter how he and his team may try to spin it, people are not stupid and know exactly what that part of the speech meant.”

I hadn’t read the transcript of the speech, so I promptly did just that. Having done so, I would like to ask Chris what part of the speech he was talking about, and why he couldn’t just put that part of the speech in his letter?
