Cage & Aviary Birds  |  26/10/2022
Bird flu has flared up in 2022, and DEFRA is introducing a raft of measures to try to control it. How do these affect the fancy, especially shows and sales? We have the latest updates and cut through the maze of regulations to advise birdkeepers straightforwardly on what they can and can’t do. Apart from that, we’re in celebratory mood: our cover bird is the dazzling golden oriole, one of the ultimate challenges for the aviculturist. Less bright but as compelling is the lovely English cinnamon canary, which we focus on again, and we also have insight and expertise from the British bird, budgerigar and foreign finch branches of the hobby.
