Sibling trio Dave, Derek and Graham Ward offered their surname and their synth-pop to the world in 1986 and were given a pleasantly workmanlike hit in return.
Cross That Bridge followed the lite-electro recipe favoured in the mid-80s, eschewing mood or drama in favour of a catchy chorus and a more gruff delivery on verses, raising it above many a standard of musicianship for the genre thanks to an excellent solo from ex-Gordon Giltrap guitarist Graham.
