LLOYD COLE PLANS FOR A DOUBLE FEATURE

Lloyd Cole is making two albums with acclaimed producer Chris Hughes. Famed for his work with Adam And The Ants and Tears For Fears among others, Hughes is credited as executive producer on Lloyd’s previous studio albums Love Story, Antidepressant and Guesswork, essentially for his advice on which songs Cole should focus on. But this latest project will be the first time the pair have worked together fully. Chris told Classic Pop: “Lloyd is a mate, and we’ve worked together in a cursory way before. We’re working on two records. One is his next ‘songs’ album, which will be classic Lloyd. That should be finished by the autumn.”
