In February 2024, CJ Wildheart releases a new solo album, Split, that reflects the duality of DNA of the guitarist and singer – a co-founder of The Wildhearts – with a signature use of punk and melody.

“It’s called Split for that [musical] reason, not because I’ve split from The Wildhearts,” he affirms. “I’m exorcising a lot of ghosts. I’m singing about love and disappointment and all the things that make me angry, like Andrew Tate on SDE, which was inspired by Greta Thunberg saying Tate had ‘small dick energy’, but also some things that I love.”
