Dee Snider opened a can of worms by claiming that while Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant and the late Ronnie James Dio rank among “the greatest singers of all time”, neither was a particularly convincing frontman. When fans voiced objection, he tweeted: “My [favourite] frontmen are all over the stage, interacting with the crowd. Showmen. Think David Lee Roth, Paul Stanley, Mick Jagger… Axl Rose… the list goes on.”
Tony Iommi is planning to start work on a new album. The former Black Sabbath guitarist has also confirmed that the group’s five Tony Martin-fronted records – The Eternal Idol, Headless Cross, Tyr, Cross Purposes and Forbidden, released between 1987 and ’95 – will be repackaged this year.
