In a New York department store in the 1950s, shop worker Therese (Rooney Mara) locks eyes with the elegant Carol (Cate). Romance blossoms between these two very different Manhattan women. Alas, the course of gay love never did run smooth. The chemistry between the two leads is divine and queer fave Sarah Paulson also makes an appearance as Carol’s ex.
