It might seem miraculous that a piece of bare soil can be transformed into a colourful delight of native flowers in just three months. Yet by the middle of summer, my Easter-sown wildflower patch had become a nectar-rich magnet for pollinating bees, foraging butterflies and a hang-out for the local finches.
