Welcome to the second edition of Get Creative With.. Colour.

As explained, every edition will cover a different crafty topic – this one looking at the marvel that is Zentangle! I have learnt so much about this fascinating subject, there is much more to it than I realised.

We were lucky enough to speak with Rick and Maria of Zentangle who told us exactly what Zentangle means, how it came about and explained the many benefi ts behind this interesting method. The list of advantages to partaking in this craft, both physical and mental was astounding! We also spoke with CZTs (Certified Zentangle teachers) Lesley Roberts and Jane Marbaix about what Zentangle means to them and share some of their amazing work. Jane kindly allowed us to share images of her Zentangles throughout this magazine so an extra special thank you to Jane for this!

After learning more about Zentangle, the reasoning behind it and getting started you will find an array of step-by-step illustrations to drawing just a few of the Zentangles that exist. I hope this you will fi nd these easy to work with, I certainly did and that it will inspire you to investigate this wonderful craft more! There is so much we didn’t have room to include – I certainly recommend checking out some of the books available that explore more.
