Grow Your Own  |  Nov-25
Welcome to the November 2025 issue of Grow Your Own Magazine!
The days might be shorter and the weather might be chillier now,
but there are still plenty of fantastic reasons to make sure you get out into the garden!
It is a busy time in the fruit garden, with now being a good time to get trees and bushes ordered and planted (page 48) while the plants are in their dormant period. So, it is well worth considering what you might like to add to your space – we are focusing on the wonderful loganberry (page 38), apricot trees (page 44) and citrus (page 64).
This is also the time of year where your leafy greens will likely be thriving – we share five of our favourites on page 22. For those wanting to grow something a little different, why not try sweet potatoes? We put this crop under the microscope this month (page 24).
As ever, our wonderful pro gardeners are on hand with their expert tips and tricks, with Simon Akeroyd focusing on raspberries (page 53), the RHS’s Guy Barter answering your questions (page 17), Mark Lane discussing growing in coldframes (page 10) and more!
We are also sharing the essential things you need to do in your annual plot clear up (page 39) to help ensure you get your 2026 plot off to the best possible start.
We hope you enjoy the issue!
Happy growing!
Editor Laura Hillier
