KATE’S KIT
After finding it hard to get comfortable, functional and flattering maternity gymwear, Kate Ferdinand (right) has turned her attention to baby bumps for her second edit of activewear from Dare2b.
Here, the 29-year-old former The Only Way is Essex star – who is expecting her first baby with husband Rio to join her stepchildren Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12, and nine-year-old Tia – speaks exclusively to hello! about the collection, pregnancy fitness and the moments when the TV football pundit annoys her…
How did you get into fitness, Kate?
“It was from a young age. I always felt I looked bigger or different from other girls – I have an obsessive personality and it did become an obsession. I thought going to the gym 24/7 would make me feel better, but it didn’t. It’s been a long process to get to the point I’m at now, and I’m now balanced and sensible when it comes to eating and exercise.
“I’ve learnt to like my body, and exercise for me improves my mental health massively and helps my anxiety.”
