She has won plaudits on both sides of the Atlantic for her performance in a one-woman play and Jodie Comer was back in the spotlight as she reigned supreme at the Tony Awards.
Flying the flag for British talent at United Palace in New York, the Liverpoolborn star exuded style in a black gown by Thom Browne to pick up her fifth Best Actress award for Prima Facie, which transferred from the West End to Broadway earlier this year.
“Overwhelmed” at winning her first Tony, Jodie told the star-studded audience: “This woman in this play has been my greatest teacher and I have to thank Suzie Miller for that, who wrote this magnificent piece.
