Creating a reverse reverb effect

Use Logic’s reverse audio function to create stunning transitions between song sections

For those of you who are looking for ways to add a bit of professional polish to your tracks, transitions between song sections are a great area to focus on, and one super effective trick you can use to enhance these special moments is the reverse reverb technique.

This was a complicated process in the days of tape machines, involving flipping reels of tape upside down so they played back to front. These days, however, the miracle of the multifunctional digital audio workstation has made it so that the trick can be pulled off with just a few mouse clicks. However, as with everything, you need to know how to do it properly in order for it to be effective. So simply follow the steps on the next page to become well (re)versed in the technique.
