The Gilda is a skewer of olives, anchovies and pickled chillies, named after the 1946 film starring _____ in the title role. (She rivalled Betty Grable as a favourite pin-up for 1940s GIs). This savoury morsel is just one example of pintxos, the particular variety of tapas found in the _____ Country. The region’s culinary centre, San _____, has perhaps more Michelin stars relative to its population than any city apart from Japan’s historic capital, _____. It was a European Capital of Culture in 2016, nearly two decades after the region’s largest city, _____, made its own cultural mark with the opening of the Guggenheim Museum. The curvy, titanium-clad design has been credited with helping to revitalise a run-down port district.
