How to use dynamic background animations in Keynote
YOU’LL NEED
A Mac (and possibly an iPad), Keynote
Dynamic backgrounds are a new feature introduced with Keynote 12.1, which was released in June of this year. If you’re not up to date with the latest version of Keynote, make sure you update before starting this guide. You must be running macOS 11.0 (Big Sur) or later, or iPadOS 14 or later if you’re using an iPad.
The new dynamic backgrounds feature lets you add subtle motion to your Keynote slides, which move continuously as you view. If you use the same dynamic background on consecutive slides, the animation continues to play without interruption as you move between them. The animations are generated procedurally, so they don’t have too much of an effect on the size of your Keynote file.
