> Douglas Engelbart may be synonymous with the invention of the mouse - but it was his colleague William English who built the very first model at Stanford Research Institute, where both men worked. Shown off to the public for the first time in the “Mother of all Demos” in December 1968 (bit.ly/mac356mouse), the mouse found its first true home at Xerox PARC, where it was discovered by one Steve Jobs.
