NO GPU? NO PROBLEM!
Guy Cocker
IN THIS ISSUE of Maximum PC, we’ve dared to think the unthinkable in performance PC building. Namely, can we build a gaming PC that doesn’t have a dedicated GPU? Of course, the GPU market has gone bananas over the last few years, and what was not so long ago the price of a top-end graphics card ($500) has now become the entr y price for a decent unit. Intel has tried to plug the gap at the entr y-level $200-350 price point with its Arc A750 and A770 cards, and while they got off to a shaky start, the former card is now good enough to feature in our budget builds (see page 96).
