This issue of Britain’s best-selling motorhome magazine looks at how eco motorhoming can save you money as well as the planet. Of course, this issue is still packed with inspiring travel features written by motorhomers for motorhomers. Helen Werin leaves her motorhome on site in the New Forest and uses bikes and buses to explore the area. Susie Kearley finds beautiful beaches, lovely coastal walks and quirky attractions in south Wales. Meanwhile, you can step back in time to 1944 and join Chris Riddles on a cycle ride in Exmoor. We also reveal how to explore London’s green attractions using a bike hire scheme that means you could get a whole day’s cycling in for free. For foreign travel inspiration, we discover the true beauty of Sardinia in a motorhome while the Stotherts head for the Med in their campervan.
Our series providing expert photography advice continues as David Chapman provides his tips for capturing birds on camera.
The sites section is devoted to our pick of campsites with great eco credentials. Of course there is still a selection of reader-recommended sites.
In the tested section, our expert testers take a close look at the new Swift Hi-style. They also hit the road in the Devon Tempest, the company’s latest high-top on a Renault Master. The Adria Coral S 670 SU is subjected to a more in-depth test, while in this issue’s head-to-head challenge, we put the Knaus Sky Ti 700MEG against the Bessacarr E572 to see which is the best fixed single bed model. We also feature a reader review of a 1999 Herald Squire 400E.
We also reveal how to make your fuel go further and look at whether premium diesel is better for the planet and your wallet. We discover it is possible to power a motorhome fridge with just a solar panel and our motorhome experts answer your technical questions in the Interchange pages.
Our testers also look at the benefits of e-bikes and solar panels for your motorhome.
