I
don’t know about you, but I always like to bring some sort of individuality to my
models.
From my standpoint, I can generally pick a particular piece by either its paint or build style and in some cases its presentation and roughly guess who made it. I like that, as it gives a glimpse to some degree into the maker’s soul. Yes, I know what you’re thinking, that sounds deep but it’s not. For me, I can’t for the life of me build a stock standard kit out of the box. I think I know why. It’s because I want some sort of individuality for my models. We all have a limited skill set and mine are many. For instance, I can’t sculpt a 1:48 figure head for love nor money, so I leave it to the guys who can.
As most of you know I’m addicted to 1:48 scale and adding figures to all my builds.
For my latest project I’ve decided to add two simple conversions to give a sense of scale to the piece. Now you have to ask yourself, how much is a enough? I’ll be honest here; I struggle with this. As a hobbyist, I find the last part of the build process to be the hardest. I keep asking myself the same question time and time again - have I done it all and you may to ask yourself what is this all you speak of tiger? The answer for me is it as good as 1:35 scale or is it good enough?
