GLENORCHY and Innishail Community Council met in Dalmally Community Centre on Wednesday January 10.
Steve Beesley took the chair and welcomed everyone before the minutes of the November 8 meeting were approved.
Community police report: PC Darren Miller presented his report of incidents over the past two months. A draft design for local Rural Watch Signs was noted. Informally, the secretary forwarded comments about three or four youths seen acting suspiciously in various places over the festive period. In answer to a question, Darren confirmed that to his knowledge there are no plans to close Dalmally Police Station. Darren encouraged residents to take care with domestic security and to report anything to police via 101 or 999 in an emergency. Only by reporting incidents at the time can anything meaningful be done. The chairman thanked Darren for his report.
