PLOCKTON’S community telephone directory has been updated and proceeds from its sale donated to three good causes.
Sales of the directory, which is produced by Mary Gollan and Hugh MacQuarrie, raised £600 which has been split evenly between a prostate cancer charity, Kyleakin Connections and Plockton Badminton Club. Plockton and District Community Council met in Plockton Hall on Tuesday May 2.
Among the items discussed was the poor state of Innes Street. Highland Council had promised two years ago it would move the Plockton sign at the entrance to the village to the south side of Burnside, but this has never been done. It was also noted bridge improvements opposite the high school have not been carried out.
