THE SCOTS were in Oban this week as part of a tour of the West Coast.
Highlander Fraser and Lance Corporal Coburn, who were standing guard at the recruitment van in Tesco’s car park, were hoping to talk to both men and women about the range of full-time and part- time job opportunities available in The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
Lance Corporal Coburn said joining the army has given him friends for life: ‘In the army people become more than just your friends – they become your family.’
