It’s the Women’s Camanachd Association Cup Final day at the Dell, Kingussie on Saturday September 1. First up is the Marine Harvest Challenge Cup Final between Inverness and Glenurquhart. The sides have met twice in the league this season. The Glen, who include new Scotland cap Donna MacKenzie as well as Hazel Hunter and Abi Stoddart, won on both occasions and they start the final as favourites. Hannah Johnston and Katie McMillan feature for Inverness. firow up is at 1.45pm. The main event is the Marine Harvest Valerie Fraser Camanachd Cup Final between holders Skye Camanachd and 2013 winners Badenoch. The teams have met just once this season with Lorna MacRae’s double helping Skye to a 3-1 win at the Dell. The sides are also contesting the Marine Harvest National Division 1 title. Skye currently have a four-point advantage although Badenoch have a game in hand. Lorna MacRae and Caitlin MacLean will be key to Skye’s chances with the more experienced Sarah Corrigall always an influence. Kirsty Deans, Elizabeth MacGregor and Zoe Reid are important to Badenoch’s chances. For the first time, this year’s final will be broadcast live on BBC ALBA. firow up is at 4.05pm.
