Last year, my sister and I joined the NOWCA Sub10 Club for the second year.
It gave us a fun challenge and a fancy badge, to show for our cold toes and ice-cube tummies. Angela is addicted to badge collecting so we double dipped once or twice to stay on target! You can only imagine our delight when we achieved our 25 Sub10 badge for reaching 25 swims.
We do spur each other on in most things we do together. A bit of sibling rivalry and the accountability that comes from swimming together has kept us going even in the most adverse conditions. Swimming through all seasons has brought us closer, not just as sisters but as friends, when our busy lives might have instead seen us drift apart.
