The July/August issue of Quercus (QM13) pays special tribute to David Charlesworth, an icon of woodworking, and one of the most influential authors, presenters and teachers for many years. Woodworkers from around the world share memories of a remarkable man (who died in May 2022), with tips and techniques they’ve learnt from that softly spoken stalwart. There’s Derek Cohen from Australia with David’s way of cutting lapped dovetails; Mattias Hallin from Belgium planing edges to a stop for better gluing; and Germán Peraire from Spain honing marking knives with David’s jig.
