Montreal writer Linda Leith, who founded Blue Metropolis Foundation in 1997, created Linda Leith Publishing / Linda Leith Éditions in 2011. She is the author, most recently, of Writing in the Time of Nationalism: From Two Solitudes to Blue Metropolis (Signature) and the introduction to Mavis Gallant’s play What Is to Be Done? (LLP). Leith surveys the current state of English-language publishing in Quebec, starting on page 16.
Andrea Bennett is the editor-in-chief of Maisonneuve magazine and a National Magazine Award–winning writer whose first book of poetry, Canoodlers, came out with Nightwood Editions in 2014. This issue, she writes about Montreal bookstore Librairie Drawn & Quarterly (p. 18).
