CENTRE STAGE FOR No. 78: Easter Sunday will see Wallasey No. 78 take part in what is billed as a “once in a lifetime commemoration event” at Wirral Transport Museum, celebrating 100 years of Wallasey Corporation Transport. The double-deck car, built in 1920 by Brush, was the last tram to be constructed for the Corporation. It will be part of the event, along with all surviving members of the Corporation’s bus fleet. No. 78 is pictured on Shore Road, Birkenhead on October 4, 2015, during the annual Wirral Bus & Tram Show.
