The September 2017 issue of Rider is a very special one (like all of them, really), because inside we reveal our Motorcycle of the Year. We’ll give you a hint—it’s an entire family of bikes. There’s a lot more to like about the issue, too, including a full road test of the adventurous new Suzuki V-Strom 650, and comparison tests of the Wee-Strom and Kawasaki Versus 650 LT and BMW R nineT Racer vs. the Triumph Thruxton. Great touring stories include an Oregon west-to-east crossing on a big Indian and an entertaining cross-country ride on a little Honda CBR250R single as well as a meander in western Michigan. It’s a big month for accessory gear reviews in Gearlab; Clem takes a look back at the brief life of the reborn Excelsior-Henderson; Can-Am celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Spyder with a huge homecoming; and of course our columnists do their level best to keep you from finishing the issue in one sitting, at least not without a dictionary.
