776BC introduces Motion

INNOVATION

In just four years Australian performance innovation company 776BC has gone from small start-up to suppliers of the kit that will be worn on the backs of the Australian national rowing team at the 2017 world championships in Florida in late September.

Now they are breaking new ground in the world of performance wear tech with a range of eye catching apparel designed to do far more than just look good. It could actually make you faster.

Founded in 2013 by the two-time Olympic rower and Beijing silver medallist Cameron McKenzie-McHarg and his wife Kate McKenzie-McHarg, 776BC (the founding year of the Olympic games) describe themselves as performance innovators for the Olympic sport spectrum.

Cameron and his wife – whose has a marketing background – began developing the company as he approached his final Olympic games with the Australian team in 2012. “We are far more than just an apparel business”, explains Cameron. “Apparel was just a good starting point for us as a performance innovation company, because it allowed us to work closely with athletes during the development process – both on the water and during training in the gym.”
