DANAOS EXPANDS ORDER
Greek shipowner Danaos has ordered two more methanolready 8,258TEU container ships from the Yangzijiang shipyard in China at an en bloc price of $188.4 million. This brings the company’s orderbook up to 12 ECO methanol-ready newbuilds with an aggregate capacity of 91,430TEU, all for delivery between later this year and the first quarter of 2027.

AFRAMAX
Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping has ordered a 114,000dwt Aframax product tanker from China’s Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding that will measure 250m by 44m and sail on a design draught of 13.5m. A service speed of 14.5 knots will be provided by a MAN B&W 6G60ME-C10.5 engine meeting IMO TIER III specifications.
