This was a seed, planted in a rich vein of soil. They were back in 2010, with bags packed tightly into an Aston Martin V8 Vantage and a 4 door Rapide. Since then, the interest back at the factory has flourished, with mountain bikers across the company “coming out” and declaring their undying love for the granny gear. This year Aston Martin have entries in the solo, pairs, sport men and mixed categories. Whilst some of the old hands have left to dabble with the tarmac based cycling, they are bringing more newcomers to Mayhem this year. This year’s Mayhem weekend coincides with the 24 hour Le Mans, so we hope to have a V12 Vantage S, the fastest series production Aston Martin ever made and the ultimate Grand Touring Vanquish on display this year. This is a rare opportunity to get up close to these cars, and the Aston Martin team will be pleased to meet you and talk fast cars, carbon fibre (and mountain biking!)
