I make no apologies. This issue is all about the stitching. Pure and simple. There are plenty of shiny new projects just crying out to be started. All perfect for filling long evenings.

Given the time to be spent indoors over coming months, then surely a board game or a spot of colouring in is needed…but in embroidery form, naturally! Jen Goodwin’s blackwork chess pieces are a proper treat. While Loetitia Gibier’s winter mandala has a sparkly hypnotic quality that will have you transfixed.
Special thanks go to Jay Hooper and Emma Firth for their perseverance. Jay for pushing through with a pattern that made her head hurt. It was worth it: her dimensional snowflake is utterly breath-taking and elevates the buttonhole to new levels. (I squealed with delight when I saw it!) As for Emma, designing hand-warmers in the middle of a hotdog heatwave back in August deserves an award alone. But staying up until the wee small hours over several nights waiting until it was cool enough to concentrate went above and beyond. Please enjoy their efforts!

Great magazine

I used to buy this magazine regularly, but it is no longer stocked in local stores. Delighted to find that I can now buy it digitally as I enjoy reading inspiring ideas which are well photographed. Highly recommended. Révision 09 janvier 2021
