Apple MacBook Air (M2)
In the same way that dog owners often end up looking like their pooches (seriously, a psychologist at the University of California proved it in a study), eventually all Apple stuff starts to look the same. Latest to get the flatter, more angular makeover is the MacBook Air, which has been reduced in volume by 20%. It’s now just 11.3mm thick and weighs a smidge over 1.2kg.
But what’s inside certainly hasn’t been reduced, with a new eight-core M2 chip that Apple reckons is around 20% faster than the old M1, plus a beefier GPU. You can have up to 24GB of RAM and 2TB of storage, although that will add a full grand to the price – and while it does support 67W speedy charging, even for that much money you still don’t get the necessary adapter in the box.
Display-wise, it’s the same 500-nit 13.6in Liquid Retina screen that’s been used in the MacBook Pro, but with thinner bezels.
