HYDROW WAVE
Like hunting, polo and wearing red trousers, rowing is usually a hobby reserved for rich people. Even doing it at home is expensive, but Hydrow’s new Wave costs $1000 less than its original rower. This Peloton-esque guided workout machine uses electromagnetic braking, polyester webbing and a custom-designed spring assembly to replicate the feeling of pulling yourself through the water, but without any risk of getting wet. You’ll still need a pretty big gaff to fit one in but it is slightly more compact and 30% lighter than before, with a smaller 16in touchscreen – so it should be easier to find space for even if you’re not minted enough to dedicate a whole wing to it. $1495 / hydrow.com
