Lauded by such figures as Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt, Grace Griffith was a galvanising presence on the Washington DC folk scene from the late ’80s. Having previously led the Celtic-influenced Connemara, her solo debut was 1996’s Grace and, soon after, she helped Eva Cassidy achieve posthumous fame by introducing her music to the Blix Street label. Griffith’s final album was 2014’s Passing Through.
