AN AUCTION WORTHY OF HIS AIRNESS

Roughly two months aft er the premiere of ESPN’s 10-part documentary “The Last Dance” detailing the 1990s Chicago Bulls dynasty, Goldin Auctions opened bidding (through July 18) on a Michael Jordan lot featuring some eye-popping premium pieces from a private high-end collection.

Leading the way is a 1997-98 Michael Jordan Eastern Conference Finals Game-Used Chicago Bulls Jersey. The road jersey was photo-matched to Games 3 and 4 against the Indiana Pacers. While the Bulls lost both games by two points each, Jordan was the top scorer, as he was in every game of the series. In the documentary, Jordan said that conference fi nals against the Pacers was the team’s toughest series in their historic six championship seasons.
