On October 7-8, the Rotax E20 was back in Sweden at the recently-opened Gelleråsen Arena in Karlskoga, where race drivers had the ideal chance to test the amazing power and acceleration of the electric kart for themselves. An exciting announcement was made at the Rotax MAX Challenge and Prins Carl Philips Racing Pokal event about the Swedish Championship 2024 with the E-Karts. BRP-Rotax test & development driver Darrell Smith was also there to ensure the competitors had the best experience when they eagerly put the E20 karts through their paces at the new circuit.
“We offered the test with the Rotax E20s at Gelleråsen Arena for drivers interested in trying the new technology E-Karts and considering also in participating in the Swedish Championship 2024. We presented the format of the event and some details at the race in October,” explains Thomas Johansson, Promoter / Prins Carl Philips Racing Pokal. “The big news is that the E-Kart race next year will be included on the program of the famous classic Kanonloppet (Cannon Race), together with Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia and other racing classes. We are hoping for another a big crowd coming to watch the race. This has never been done before in Sweden, only with Superkarts.”
