TOWARDS THE END OF RUNS, MY VISION SOMETIMES GETS BLURRY AND CONTINUES AFTERWARDS FOR A BIT, ESPECIALLY IF I GO SOMEWHERE WITH BRIGHT LIGHTS, AND I CAN FEEL FAINT. AFTER FAINTING MANY YEARS AGO, I DO GET ANXIOUS ABOUT THIS, SO I WONDER WHETHER IT MIGHT INSTEAD JUST BE IN MY HEAD? CAN YOU OFFER ANY ADVICE?
Eyes are very precious and if you are experiencing visual symptoms I would always advise you to be checked by your GP or optician. Changes in your blood pressure or a lowering of your blood glucose at the end of your run may cause temporary blurred vision, but as you mentioned, anxiety can too. Sometimes a change in the pressure within the eye can disturb vision. It is reassuring that the blurring is short-lived, but you should make an appointment to get your eyes checked, to rule out any other causes.
