This jacket is part of Brooks’ new trail range, and a lot of thought and expertise has gone into its engineering. Constructed from a soft, stretch fabric, which is waterproof and breathable, it moves with you as you run and avoids that sweaty cagoul-like feel of lesser jackets. I’d say that it runs a little small, so it’s worth sizing up to ensure you can layer beneath it. For me, it sits just on the hips, a touch higher than I’m used to, but for spring and summer trails this is actually a great shape and size. The hood fits well, it’s extremely light and packs into a tiny ball. Pricey but very nicey.
