The Troubadour International Poetry Prize run by Coffee House Poetry is open for entries for the 2017 competition.
This year’s competition will be judged by Michael Symmons Roberts and Imtiaz Dharker. The first prize is £2,000, the second prize is £1,000 and the third prize is £500. There are additional prizes of subscriptions to The Manhattan Review, Poetry, Poetry Ireland Review and The Rialto, a £100 Troubadour restaurant voucher and a bottle of Troubadour champagne. All prize-winning poets will be invited to read at Coffee House Poetry on 27 November, which is prize night.
The competition,which is open to poets worldwide, is for original unpublished poems up to 45 lines. Type poems on single sides of A4, including a title The poet’s name must not appear on the manuscript. Poets may enter by post or by email. Email entrants should send poems as doc, docx, pdf and rtf attachments and include their contact details, PayPal receipt number, number of poems and poem titles in the submission email. Postal entrants should submit two copies of each poem and include their details and poem titles on a separate sheet.
